MF without VR

I don't know if this has been brought up yet, but I just noticed something. You can fight the MF with two characters without beating VR with them. Like, I beat the Vanitas Remnant with Ven, saved, then loaded Terra and I could fight MF. Same with Aqua. Anyone else see this?

    You only have to defeat Vanitas Remnant in one of the scenarios to unlock Mysterious Figure in all scenarios.

    Yeah, like JTD said, you only need to use one character to defeat Vanitas Remnant in order to unlock MF battle for all 3 scenarious. I'm suprised you didn't know this.
