Last night I was watching Lord of the Rings Return of the King. When I saw Gondor again it does really remind me of Scala ad Caeum.
They seem pretty similar to me but ofcourse Scala ad Caelum is much larger.

Oh I see a small detail but thanks for clearing it up.

When I saw Scala ad Caelum, I was reminded of the fortress on the Vanishing Isle from Aladdin and the King of Thieves.

I just wonder what or if anything is holding Scala ad Caelum up.
