The downward movement is less immediate

In KH2, Sora falls at the first few frames after his combo or hit ends
In KH3, he has a tiny bit of hang time to allow for a guard, fall, dash, glide, double flight, or shot lock

Which speed runners hate that tiny bit of lag cause in KH2 once you hit the ground you can start up a new combo

But in KH2, if you miss a hit you have to hit the ground to do something
Here you get a chance to recover

So it's pick and choose

You can make it into an infinite combo by combo-ing,air sliding,combo-ing..

Yeah, and I don't really like that downward attack

It doesn't feel great to me

they were ALL AoE

That's cause most of the combat is AoE.

I was going to bring up counters,that's why

Ah yeah the counters count

Which is why I feel bosses are worse, they either have to be big hitbox, group fight or include some form of trash mobs

to fit the AoE focus
