Yeah since I'd done the game once already I thought it wasn't necessary tbh, and even before that I barely looked at it

It's slightly more useful than KH2's maps

after a few replays I definitely know my way around the maps but the mini map is pretty useless

I had no idea what the right way was

I pretty sure the Dark Forest was intentionally confusing

It was, the map chest was inside it

So you either found the chest and got out, or you guess your way out

But if you're gonna have a map, make it helpful haha

For example, why not have the map be drawn as you explore more of the area

That way you know where you have and haven't gone

And since we need depth, change the angle of the map depending on which way the player is facing

It's the super small things that Osaka could have done to add to the experience

Showing an evolution from KH2FM instead of a decent amount of copy and pasting

Which having things stay the same is fine! It's not an issue being a sequel

But the small things to show change help a lot

At least the option to turn it off is there, which is nice I can just pretend the unhelpful maps don't exist

a map like dooms would be nice tbh

Though, who's to say they're the one ones who design and handle how the map ends up looking?
