He doesnt retain it

But because he forgot everything that happened in the future, he doesn't know anything that happens

But during it

is what I mean

Ah

Well, definitely for when he travelled to the future

during it, he knows it's all part of something bigger than himself, but he goes along with it anyway

He was just fulfilling the role that was set in place for the war

Always gotta be, a bigger bad. It's always just gotta keep pushing and pushing.

Ansem is the big bad, but really he's actually got a somebody Xehanort, who we don't know is a big bad but he actually is, but no, now he was being a pawn all along for the real big bad and do you see?????

Xehanort is still the big bad

That never changed

That doesn’t really seem as bad as say how Naruto did it

Idc how Naruto did it

The only connection between him and MoM is that the latter knew of what will happen and prepared himself for it

I care how Kingdom Hearts did it

At least the pieces are in place here as opposed to literally just bringing them in out of no where and not letting a villain just be a villain

Quid's point I think, is that they keep sweeping the rug from under our feet

In KH’s case, Xehanort is still his own villain really

But the thing is, it's not a grand plan by someone else

Rather than just introducing something new

Exactly, it's the exact same issue with these games plots

Literally everything Xehanort did was on his own

Every single game, no resolution

MoM can't ruin that

Yes it's his own, thats fine

He comes in after Xehanort is dead
