You just have to find what works on enemies.. A lot of enemies in KH2FM’s strats, including ones that did not stagger easily, usually where told as “Use X thing between attacks and time presses”

And it was usually a particular set of skills

Yeah, getting one shot is NOT fun at all. I will 100% agree with you there

That being said, KH is/has always been about using the tools given to you to make things work out in the land of difficulty
KH2FM is a clear cut example of this with it's data fights and KH3 is NO different. Even if KH3 has it's flaws

What tools does KH3 really give you?

For example, i do not forgive guard for failing to do it's job. A block should always block and do well

I'd argue its a lesser tool kit

but it still is a tool

KH3: Attack, Magic, Links, Shotlock, Airstep, Flowmotion, Attractions (yes these count even if you dont like it), and command styles

KH2: Attack, magic, summons, limits, forms

I know you're joking, but that did save me a few times. However, it doesn't replace a true defense spell, indeed

both of these include their respective abilities

There’s also flowmotion, Goldy

And transformations

What is command styles

Form changes

Unless that falls under command styles

Your transformations are just as much a tool as anything else
