I think it's really well thought-out and they pick up on a lot of the things that struck me as pretty strange at the time of playing. The theory itself overall is actually a really great one (some points I think are a much bigger stretch and aren't as well explained for sure though) but in terms of it actually being true....that I have a lot more issues with

for a start, as much as I have a lot of faith in Nomura and his attention to detail, it would be giving an extreme amount of clever writing credit to what on the surface just seems much more like a story that went awry and felt weird and rushed in so many places

second, regardless of whether it's true, it doesn't change the fact that so, so many people have felt disappointed on reaching the end of the game

and mostly I feel, the idea is really clever, in some ways it would be awesome for it to be true because it's so intricate, but at the same time, why would you make that choice for an end-of-saga major release game?

it's more like the kind of thing you might do - and arguably they have done - in a side game. I can't understand what the point would be of having a Sleeping Realm deal in KH3, unless they were actively on a mission to alienate a lot of players.

So yeah....I actually think as a theory it's brilliant and it was really awesome to read it but as a reality, it would probably only intensify my issues :/

I definitely can't deny that I noticed a lot of the things they pick up as key points though - even including the missing segment of the logo, I didn't notice in the game but it's true that it really does look like it's missing on the deluxe box and did look weird when I first opened it, I also noticed that they don't mention dreams or really anything to do with DDD, I also spent the whole time wondering why Meow Wow looks completely normal but everyone else is this weird crystal-water version (I'm actually surprised more people haven't commented on this, I was confused the first time I saw Ariel as a Link reveal...there's literally no explanation at all that I'm aware of), I thought the fact he can't touch YMX at all and that line about 'this time' was really significant, I remember saying ages back that I thought Kairi's death was super bizarre and we don't see her heart etc.....so when I think about all that stuff I start to think omg maybe they are entirely right!
But it seems like that can't be right either....we truly need DLC at this point ?

Thing about Ariel looking like that might be because of it's similarities to D-Link from BBS

Thing with D-Links was that you connected with that persons heart and got a new moveset

But in KH3, instead of getting a moveset with links, you instead summoned their hearts and they got an element that suited them for it

they all look the same except for Meow Wow though...I thought it was really weird at the time but never really thought about the reason

I mean there could easily be some reason based on it being a link rather than a Summon if it was all of them, but the fact MW is normal and the others are super crystally.....I suppose maybe it's because MW is a Dream Eater but that lends credence to the SR theory right?

I dunno I've never felt so much before that a game completely over-explained and under-explained at the exact same time

but why do all the others look crystally?

they all look the same, it's not just Ariel

actually I suppose Simba is more fiery

I've googled and yeah he does look datery

and I suppose Stitch is supposed to look like plasma

so ok that's actually a cool detail really ?

but MW definitely just looks normal

ah I feel much happier about that, I think Ralph was throwing me off cause I only used him once and I guess basically I just noticed that they all looked 'weird' but looking at still images you are totally right, they all correspond pretty well to their 'elements'

I guess MW could have been wavy/blurry to be dreamlike

also, although I thought a lot of the theory was great, I did feel a bit like a lot of it was never in dispute and was just obvious - Riku has always been a guiding light and had the aim of protecting Sora.... despite his unfortunate foray into darkness for a while there ?

yeah it does ?
