I dunno much at all about how the American system works but I remember Blair being held to account for Iraq before it happened, of course he had a huge majority and the tories backed him so nothing much happened there

And I distinctly remember David Cameron having a really tough time trying to take action in Syria, I remember the opposition won a decent amount of those votes
