I dont care so much about demographics, but if a show is proven to have strong viewership it should be prioritised in schedules.

If kids switch on a TV to a specific channel (which they so rarely do) and don't see the programme they went on they'll just go to youtube which also earns some money for CN with the amount of clips they have on there

YJ wasn't even a disaster with the merch, it sold decently

yj was extremely popular and the viewship was high and they still went and canned yj due to toy sales

The problem was there was too many people interested in YJ outside of the demographic, and they used that as an excuse

granted she was looking to drop the series

You know why? They barely made any of the female characters into toys and went overboard on the males
