And even kind of off-putting at times

One More Light is good

More than Minutes to Midnight?

Minutes to Midnight didn't sound weird

Some of the tracks did.

It was just a perplexingly disconnect and random album

I believe I got both of those albums in CD form and no music of LP beyond those.

There is no direction to it at all, it comes across as a bunch of good but completely unrelated songs put together

I actually can't think of a Minutes to Midnight song I'd describe as weird

Given Up is off-putting because of how weirdly heavy it gets

It felt like an experiment for different sounds w/ some that are soft for some listeners.

It's such a weird album

It is arguably the softest Linkin Park album while having the heaviest song of their discography

One track had Mike Shinoda singing softly.

Yeah, that's Hands Held High

Or as some call it, the "soft HHH"

"In Between"

The soft, apologetic song

Right

I guess Hands Held High isn't that soft

"Bleed it Out" is what some fans expect and then there is "Valentine's Day."

Valentine's Day is underrated

It's nice that "Shadow of the Day" made it to the radio stations.

My sister liked that one.

Frankly I enjoy listening to it more than to My December ahem

Of course can't not mention the legendary What I've Done

Theme for the only decent Transformers movie

A Thousand Suns is a lot more tight in terms of theming

Then again it's their only concept album, I guess it wins that by default

I think "Blackout" is more expected w/ the grunginess w/ "Waiting for the End" as a bit unexpectd.

And some tracks seem like nods to the "War on Terrorism" in the Middle East from American occupation following 9/11 as an integral excuse and some opposing government ignorance.

Waiting for the End is one of my favorite songs, so chill yet so full of emotion
