Seriously speaking though, there are different niche fanbases for specific games inside of a franchise's fanbase

That's where you get the KH2FM elitists for example

And Joshua could complain to you at length about the Crossbell cult in the Trails fanbase

Yeah, I guess it depends on how big of a series is

You even see them in One Piece

You have like people who berates people about power levels

Or others who prefer pre-timeskip to the point they complain about everything post and so on

And vice versa

Fortunately those people are rare exceptions for the most part

Not the power levels one

So far I haven't actually met anyone online who holds the "pre ts good post ts bad" mindset

I have seen a few, thankfully not that many

Power level debates are the point of contention in all shonen series' fanbases
