That part irks me

 

Even if it was foretold by Joy Boy that doesn't answer how he knew

Okay so it's more like the discussion just ends up being "NO THIS IS GREAT WRITING, THIS IS GODA"

And that just completely ruins any kind of discussion

And it's happening so much lately thanks to that new chapter

Destiny as a whole is just annoying

It cheapens the adventure by making it almost pre-determined

But I will say this,

If the prophecy is that a person with the name D will come, then I will like that. Because Roger was one who could have fullfilled it, he was just born too early so it still works that it could be Luffy or someone else with the name D

 

That would actually be fine

But if it turns out to just be

Luffy

I will be annoyed

 

What weirds me out is the 20 years thing

 

Like, how do they know that exact number

Might have to do with Madame Shirley's prediction, maybe

Oden heard something back then when he was in Fishman Island

 

 

She did predict that Shirahoshi would be born, who is Poseidon

 

Shyarly doesn't know when her prophecies will come true though
