Bit of both

The anime was a huge drag

But re-reading again now in the manga, it does have a few flaws that annoys me

The pay off is kinda good with it

Except with rebecca's character

Man, that one was rough

Maybe when I get there on my reread in 2023 I'll understand better

Rebecca sucks

That's a known fact

She's even worse in a re-read when you know where her character is headig

And I still hate her gladiator design

It's so bad

Starts off alright being very skillful with her sword but still kind with her opponents, but after they leave the coliseum she accomplishes literally nothing

I know what Oda was going for with the design, but he definitely could have designed a more tasteful outfit

But nah, he definitely just wanted tits out all the time

Could have at least given her a shirt to wear

Or something

Probably was

Could've given her something to do instead of making her a .dll extension to Kyros.exe

You know what the worst part of her character is

Even after everything was great with Dressrosa

She still needed Luffy to meet Kyros

He literally had to kidnap her to do it

Bruh moment

She couldn't be honest with her feelings and was almost willing to live in a lie until Luffy got to her window and said

"Bitch, are you for real!?"

Ahhhh

So much potential for her

All down the drain into the shitter

I wouldn't be so annoyed with her if she didn't get so much focus

Her character was kinda forgettable so I don't really remember how much attention she got

Even Bellamy had a better characterization than her

I do remember Luffy literally telling her "by the way, the macho statue man is your dad"

Like, goddamn Oda, are you just going to have everything be exposed to her instead of letting her find out by other means?
