Most of the shows I watch aren't available where I am

I find them both very different tbh

So it's the only solution for me

Pirating has existed for a looooooooooooooooooooong ass time

I do try to support it whenever I can tho

But money is also tight on my end so it kinda becomes hard

Like, even in the victorian times people would steal the manuscripts for books and reprint it themselves

I get what you mean, there are some shows that were only available for purchase in French for me I wish I could’ve watched in English instead

But I think in terms of anime and manga, the early 00s had a boom on tv, but due to terrible dubbing and scheduling practices you couldn't often find the whole series in order on tv

also, licensed manga was just a ton more difficult to find back then

4Kids dub firetrucked up the One Piece manga

And they are still using it

and think of all the manga or anime you've ever seen/read, so much of that never even gets past Japan, sites like mangafox or onemanga were just so much easier to access
