You know what, I am the stupid one. I thought Cold Steel is the main game that ties it all but it's not. It's Trails.

Cold Steel is a sub series of Trails as a whole

so technically, sky 1 is the fourth legend of heroes game

but the prior 3 games that came out before sky are their own thing

and aren't tied into Trails
