Why would that be less special? Shouldn’t a handful of dialogue changes reflecting what you’ve gone through feel rewarding

And not just tossed away to the side for the amount of time you wasted on it

I think part of it is also like, people don't really seem to care much about eachother in p5 that much. People care about joker, and everybody else is a second thought. As a result relationships feel more kinda hollow. Like there was the thing with Ryuuji's hair and Ann's... but then that was it between the two, as far as I can remember

I mean imagine if you went through a few weeks worth of shit with a friend only for them to never acknowledge that those weeks happened, I feel like the way Otti is describing it, that’s how it must feel

Yeah, confidant story in Persona 5 affecting the main story in some ways

I think they should do that, OJ doesn't think so

The confidant links I view as extensions not necessary to liking and understanding the characters. I thought the main cast had their own growth in the main story that was reflected and shown off well. Now, in the links, the growth they go through is super personal and intimate with the player. Reflecting that remotely in the main story would make me view those confidant links as less meaningful because those being broadcasted makes them feel less intimate. The main story does them all well enough in my personal opinion. Idk if I explained that well

But you don't need to show it broadly either

Those parts can still be intimate

I am not saying for them go full "RYUJI AND I ARE FULL ON BROS NOW" but just show a side of Ryuji that was in the confidant story

It doesn't even need to be big

But just a small one to show they did grow closer

It depends on how those moments would be shown though and I can't think of ways where it would work well. It would feel shoehorned to me personally just to acknowledge the player

And like Walrus said too, all the characters in the story are together because of MC

They are all intimate moments between them
