at first glance, I'd think the touhou fanbase would be pretty awful

It used to be way worse

but it's gotten better

is the toxicity usually about the gameplay or the characters?

music is all around very well liked

and characters are subjective

while the reverse is also true where some vets are so toxic and have a hard time understanding why people arent as god like at the game as they are

yeah that's some sub human SMT type ideology

but overall, it's gotten better i would say

since the cliques started happening where gameplay is separated from art people who are separated from music people

all one fanbase, but separated in their own little groups
