after that scene, nothing like that ever happens again. They have these months of time skips between the chapters where the main cast gets closer and assumingly stronger and more capable

Off-screening in an RPG is frankly a capital sin

because i shit you not

elie has some of the best potential to be one of the best characters in the series

she has the perfect background for crossbell and everything

and nothing happens

she's the mayor's granddaughter and crossbell is a really firetrucked city to put it mildly with a lot of issues

elie chose to work with the police other than the government in order to get a different perspective on how crossbell functions

and she studied abroad when she was younger

and none of that shit is ever utilized well

That does sound like some pretty solid set up

the studying abroad shit is such a wasted firetrucking trait

because it's only ever brought up on a surface level with no depth

hell, in the second crossbell game, it's revealed that she befriended one of the Sky party members when she was a child

and it literally adds to nothing
