I wouldn't say so.. it's pretty in character, because depending on where you look, Peter has a lot of doubts in his ability as Spider-man, in regards to the "I'm nothing without the suit"

It's totally in character for him to feel insecure and lacking self-esteem

From a writing standpoint, I think it's fairly realistic, that this kid who was suddenly given this suit and is now apart of this inner circle of heroes he has looked up to for years, possibly

Also, the school stuff I find dull as dishwater lol

Thinks he didn't mean much prior to that, when in reality, there was always a need for a "Friendly Neighborhood Spider-man"

The writers didn't write Peter Parker ™, they wrote about a random kid whose lived in a world full of superheroes which is fine, just don't lie to men and say its Peter Parker

Definitely something I like about Peter Parker: he realistically struggles w/ work and has to climb to earn while having trouble managing his social life and work he has to do around heroics, having inner turmoil about his responsibility.

I just hope Far From Home gives me more of an independent Spiderman, which based on some trailers and tv spot it does
