but Tobey played the most beta whimpy POS Peter Parker i have ever seen! like... he is supposed to be socially awkward.. but smart.. and then he progressively gains his confidence and charisma from being spidey! Tobey just stayed beta and whiney the entire time... until he was suddenly an over confident douchebag

it was a campy cheesy mess, but it was filmed that way. it was meant to be cheesy.. (and if not.. oof) but like ama says.. the MAIN CHARACTER is being portrayed so poorly.. like look at game of thrones... the writing was god awful... but the thing that saved it was the acting lol

if the actors are limited directly to how they are "directed" to act without any sense of their own acting skills.. then they are a BAD ACTOR.. they need to throw some of themselves into it
