Or their business strategy announcement, which boiled down to "if we slap Pokémon on something, people will buy it", selling a brand rather than an optimized product.

Gamefreak isn’t split on SW/SH and Masters. They’re split on Gen 8, plus an original IP

And Nintendo supports much of their funding as well as authorizes products for their consoles.

Basically

Their products sell best on Nintendo

Pokémon or not

They’re unfortunately stuck

Basically, no way out

Even their non-Pokémon games

Either they keep making Pokémon or well, they’re done
