The switch is a far more powerful console than 3ds and every single pokemon model was future proofed specifically for it. And its not as if the animations are incredible here. This was a clear choice

There was no way for the two to communicate, but, they did remake Gen 1

All of these are with the “make many creatures/collect them all” mentalities

Well none of those franchises decided to make it into a series staple

But none of them ever.. try to make it. But you get so many recurring ones anyway

With some Gen 2 critters around, and the rest being in Gen 3 itself

Well, even so, all pokemon were available in gen 3

It's obvious to me the third version will have everything

But like.. at this point.. they have a 1000+ critters

Which is kinda ridiculous tbh in this day and age

And they have the processing power for it too

So how many are in the newest one

1000+, including forms and variants and mega evolutions and whatever

This is every Pokémon ever

There's like 800+ rn

I doubt there'll be more than 50/60

The number jumps greatly tho when you throw in forms and all that
