The issue here isn't what they did in gen 2 and 3, it's after that

It became the norm to have all the pokemons in the next games

The Galar dex is likely 300, old with new

And it's been like that since gen 4

Yes, it's been seven generations, and even gen 3 had all pokemon available at a point

Which also means a lot more people altogether in from gen 4 and onward than what gen 1 - 3 had

No, I am not saying that they should do that in every game

The point is that they made it become normal

Trying to change something normal gets that reaction

And it's a fair reaction, just that some people take it too far with it

It's not an incredibly larger amount than what was on the 3ds

And the 3ds is weak

As far as I know, I barely played them

Then this is a weird thing to happen

They already have the models and animations in place

They didn't change engines

Hell, they got a more powerful-ish console now

If they had changed engines or maybe even the whole art style of the game, then I could understand what's happening

Clearly it'll be released in a third version

But it is very baffling as to the why of this currently
