I'm really bad at strategy games so FE is a hard sell for me

Well, it's pretty forgiving, mainly in newer games

you can set it so you dont have perma death on your characters if you'd like

I did play through echoes, but on its easiest difficulty and still had some trouble. It's just a bit demeaning is all

So i can't really enjoy the gameplay

I don't think tis demeaning at all.. permadeath can be very brutal

it can cost you time and it can ruin playthroughs if you lost someone essential

It's like

For example, not being able to play kh2 on critical mode would really demean me personally. I would be playing on beginner and think how bad i am compared to the normal players

Psychological thing

well.. what i'd suggest is.. bumping it up in difficulty

and turning off the permadeath

whiich is totally valid

Honestly, if I never interacted with people online, I would probably not care about how I played FE or these other games lol

Online interactions are dangerous for game enjoyability

I haven't watched anime in years because of this. It's dangerous

Expectations are clearer than ever to everyone, and you're super transparent if you're honest online. So, if you feel a lack of pride in your interests, you're going to feel demeaned by interacting with the medium more

So i just don't, because of that

But there came a point where that happened and yeah

i just watch any and all anime that interest me

this has been me always.. i just have awlays liked anyhting and everything

But that doens't mean I don't get defensive, sometimes

You need thick skin to shrug off toxicity. But not everyone has that sadly, I wish I did

It's more of a fundamental thing I think

You can grow thick skin, but I think if you spend a year online and still get offended by everything, you just can't get it
