like i have said in the past and i will always say, there is absolutely some aspects of the mmo genre wow does better than ff14

instead of making a group

how you take inthe story is one of them

i mean every WoW game before WoD was 10k times better than ffxiv. but nowadays I'm not sure about this

bc there's this weird trend atm

ff14 is too safe

i mean blizzard had already the perfect plan

for casual and hardcore player balance

which were basically WotlK and MoP

and maybe tbc

and then they shifted to this weird trend to make every content available for every player

if you cant do the hardest content

firetruck you, get better at the game

and the catchup mechanic atm is really weird as well

the gear is too good

in wow/

its all stcuk behind pvp lol

in mop the catchup mechanic in the last patch had basically the ilvl of the normal or hc raid gear of the first raid

and nowadays the gear is as good as the mythic gear of the last patch

which basically makes your progression pointless

the only thing atm that is stuck behind pvp is my Best in Slot essence

but luckily it only requires 1k rating to get it

which is basically playing 1 hour arena

nothing should be kept behind pvp th

and nothing should be locke dbehind PvE

does ff14 have a gear catch up btw?

there will always be gear from other content that is better. the only option would be disable all pve gear in pvp

ffxiv has a currency vendor

which basically has the same ilvl as lfr

i mean quests thatgive gear

ah yes

cos im thinking about playing DRG

if you finish the msq or do your job quest you will get gear that is good to start the endgame
