See this is where I completely disagree with people that say sonic doesn't need a story

I think the games have really suffered from a lack of them

They're inoffensive at best, and unmemorable at worst

What investment are you creating if you treat your characters like a joke?

And they're so one note now

A kid playing forces will shit on tails because he's just unlikeable

Whereas a kid playing sonic adventure can probably relate to his arc there

And admire him for it

I mean i would suggest that sonic is targeted for kids (we dont speak of shadow the hedgehog though )

That doesn't mean it needs to be teletubbies

SA1 had the perfect amount of cool factor

Kids dont exactly look for scott fitsgerald levels of writing.
