My brother and I having convos about church sound literally like them.

The funniest thing is, The Al Bhed aren’t even atheists? Like they still believe in Yevon, but they use the teachings as a guide instead of seeing them as law. Not only that, but they look at some of the dumber laws (read: no machina) and question them because they are actual hindrances to the comfort and advancement of people.

Tidus himself is more of an atheist bc he existed before Yevon and Sin and is like, “no dude. All of this is weird and dumb and I don’t fwi.”

He literally calls the sending dance “creepy” and if that ain’t the most atheist thing.
