Sora's punished for abusing PoW too many times so he died and is in the afterlife/purogorary and when he encountered yozora he lost and got crystalized thus losing his ability to use said keyblade

Plus the only way Sora could get a new keyblade if something were to happen to Kingdom Key.

That only depends if you beat Yozora or is defeated by him.

Wasn't the winning ending the canon ending to Yozora?
