But like... the original FF7 didn't have voices at all

despite the fact they went through the effort of bringing back the French voice of CIoud from KH 2 to reprise his roIe even though no other French voiced version of cIoud had existed

So the established voice actors never actually got a chance to voice their character in a mainline FF7 game.

Mandy Moore has literally been in Kingdom Hearts before

She voiced Aerith in KH1, which was way before she was even cast as Repunzel

And she returned for Tangled: The Series, so it's not like she's above smaller-scale projects

That paired with how much effort Disney put into getting all the original princess voices for KH3

The whole thing smells fishy, almost like Mandy Moore is deliberately avoiding the KH franchise at all cost
