sora being raised by a single parent would also add to his character as we know riku does have a dad and a mom

so thatd be another thing he was jealous of

honestly, i think the main reason we never really focus on sora's mom or anyone's family is because they're not important overall to the plot (currently). like, if we introduce sora's mom, people are gonna start asking "who is the mom's ancestors and how does that link someone from the age of fairy tales to sora" and other things like that

and it's like, sure, people already speculate about that sort of thing, but including anything in the games would lead to more of it

it's an important thing for a studio or whatever to know when to give in to fans and when not to. it's fun to theorize on the parents but like as was said, they aren't important so no need to get into them. if they did address them then it would just be like they're basic people
