Why tf would I switch buttons and screw with my muscle memory just because of a color

for the coIours bro 😔

smh

Daz plz. You are massively overthinking this.

For me it’s always (PlayStation-Xbox):
Triangle-Y = Thunder
Square-X = defensive magic
X-A = Cure
Circle-B = offensive magic

Muscle memory means a lot to me too. I had to setup another control configuration for Smash because I'm just too used to Sora controlling a certain way.

offensive magic meaning anything that isn't thunder I'm guessing

it's a dang good thing KH3 has muItipIe shortcut Iists

Yes
KH1 - usually Gravity
KH2 - usually Fire
KH3 - whatever the situation calls for

oh hey yeah gravity's actuaIIy a good command

I oughta use it next time Imao

Gravity is OP not gonna lie

Not as OP as Reflect

Yeah, but as far as the KH1 spells go

Fair enough.

I mean, if we want to talk most OP magic in the whole series...that honor probably goes to Balloonga

I could never find a good use for Stop outside of the Phantom secret boss, so I just let Donald use it occasionally.

Couldn't Stop theoretically be used to cut off a combo?

Maybe? I never found myself in a situation (except maybe once or twice the whole game) where Stop was more valuable than Gravity when it came to what to spend my MP on

tbf I don't really know KH1's mechanics that well. It's probably the game I know the least about. Mostly because I don't enjoy its combat compared to every other game.

Who would win: bending the laws of physics and manipulating space-time, or some poppy bois

I only know what I learned during my playthrough this year, as I had kinda avoided the game until then.

I think KH1 holds up okay but it takes a lot of getting used to. The flow of combat is slow and clunky and you have to be very deliberate in every move you choose to make, because you're committed to every single action.

And the camera handles like ass

There were points were I was fighting the camera controls as much as I was fighting the enemies

Yeah. And the lock-on barely works.

Lock-on was the only way I could consistently bring the camera under control so I could actually hit stuff

How is it OOT somehow did lock-on better??? No issues in that game! I always know exactly where Link is relative to the enemy.

I imagine it was jarring going from the Final Fantasy games of the time to developing that.

Yeah. Because every FF game had forced perspective back then. Even FF7.

And they were all still turn-based, right?
