It's basically this, KH1 and 2 have incomplete versions of Kingdom Hearts

BBS and KH3 has the real ones

KH2’s kingdom hearts was only made from the hearts of man

While BBS’s was only made from the hearts of worlds

The real kingdom hearts is still lost in the darkness

The Ansem thing was already explained in the first game through the secret reports

So it's not really a retcon there
