I remember watching Nyan Cave play through BBS and when it got revealed who Vanitas looked like they freaked out laughing and were like "wait no this doesnt make sense"

I rock with Vanitas, I'm a sucker for the "evil reflection" character type. I know he's more a reflection of Ventus than Sora but still- evil Sora bro lfg.

I would say, next to Xion, he's lacking the most in terms of his personhood because he's a reflection of Ventus, with Sora's face, but a temperment and attitude that was shaped and manipulated by Xehanort for a moot purpose and then went to sleep for 10+ years and is still (debatably) in there.

Also, he has two eyes in his Keyblade compared to everyone else's one Gazing Eye.

Xehanort is a helicopter parent confirmed.

Although, because it has two eyes, one could argue he's similar to Xion in that regard because his Keyblade isn't "real" and is, instead, Xehanort's influence giving his a Keyblade to fight with for the sole sake of forging the X-Blade instead of an actual, physical manifestation of what his Heart is like.

COupled by the fact we don't actually know what his Heart looks like without Ventus being there. We know what Ventus's Station looks like without Vanitas there, but we don't know what Vanitas's individual station looks like, but that could also be because it's firetrucking broken and there's a GIANT chunk missing from it.

i'll tolerate it, for the time being.
