i don't think it's too surprising. the collection has 4 games, that's 4 times the chance that someone would want to play it rather than 3. then the fact that 3 is still the most recent of this bunch so most people would want to play the older ones first. then there's the fact that this is the bajillionth rerelease so a ton of the steam playerbase are probably the most hardcore ones because even I didn't buy this release and I've bought every single other rerelease(minus switch cause who the firetruck would lmao)
