i looked for riku and found these files

riku's shouId be in the PcEx3Riku.uasset fiIes
at Ieast that's what I know from what others say

ok, i extracted all packages and these are the textures i got

this is the closest match and is still cropped for ui

so they are!

weird they don't just use some type of mask but maybe this is easier for them

2nd one has smaller textures. most likely for his party member version
one of them must be for when he is not in battle

actually that could be where they are actually used. the game can just crop these textures if needed
notice how riku has some more detail that is not seen on his levelup

this engine can apply effects to these textures on the fly
change transparency, add/remove color filters, etc

if they're stored as different textures though I doubt it'd need to do that
