CoM while people like to rag on for its cards and stuff
really was one heck of a unique game for the GBA

There's a certain charm to it

I love Sora's pixel animation

it was genuinely a lot of fun to play back then as a kid

something like that comes out today and it gets hate for retreading the same stuff as the first game and blah blah
i dont recall CoM getting hate for that back when it came out but I was also like, 7 so, wasn't on the internet just yet

CoM mainly got hate for the card system because no one could count to a max of 27

I mean playing devil's advocate here for a sec, coming off the heels of KH1 this was bound to make people confused and offset some fans

I remember thinking how did we even get here

i was more confused/concerned with KH2 cause you start out as Roxas and I thought he was gonna be an anti-hero of sorts or that the main goal of KH2 was to wake up Sora (which it was but not in 2 game hours)

Re:CoM definatly made it more "Accessible" to people who played the first one, but also a lot of peoples experience with KH1 was spaming x and swinging at everything. In CoM, there's alot more strategy involved and you can't just spam x to hit everything and win. (Even though I did just that on my playthrough after giving up )

pretty much, and in ReCoM you have a lot more room to run around

Honestly, it was ahead of it's time

i never hated com really but i never understood it much but my last run i did a while back the game just clicked the cards decks everything

i almsot didnt wanna move onto kh2 after i beat com

I just threw on all the keyblade cards, some cure cards and went to town.

I didn't come back to it until after I had beaten literally everything else

to this day i still wanna do a magic deck only run

I figured this is the only game left, might as well beat it so i can say that I have beaten all the games

i got stuck at agrabah tho cuz you needed fire magic to kill a mummy

and i was out of mp and heartless dont respawn

so no way to get mp

it take place during kh1 but one night Sora wakes up on a island with a talking parrot and finds a way back while Donald and Goofy look for the missing Sora
