Just today (weirdly enough, same day as the Pokémon Direct), a remake of Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom was announced, and it’ll feature:

-Refined graphics, obvs

-A two-player horde mode with online and splitscreen

-Restored content that wasn’t even in the original game, including the Robot Squidward boss.

Huh, well isn’t this something!

Huh, how ironic cause I'm just watching a lets play on it right now XD I cannot wait to play it, I've only played Spongebob Squarepants the Movie game (could not beat King Neptune, he was a jerk but I still love him). 

I had a dream last night where Squidward was playable, and faced off against King Jellyfish. His gameplay style was using his clarinet as a projectile weapon.

First look at gameplay!

Looks fantastic! I remember playing the original but I have forgotten most of it so remake or not it'll be a fresh game for me. For some reason I remember most going into Squidward's house and breaking everything and putting a moustache onto one of his portraits  it really felt like you were in Bikini Bottom because they had just about all of the recurring characters and locations from the show. The more I think about it, the more excited I am to play this.
