We don't know for sure yet. My guess it that he's revived in Terra's body, but that Terra's heart is with Riku.

Why would he return as Master Xehanort? Ansem gets defeated, Xemnas gets defeated, Ansem's heart goes back into Xemnas body and suddenly you have the old Master Xehanort? It doesn't make sense...

 

Yen Sid might have said that it is Master Xehanort that will return, and he is correct, Master Xehanort will return, just in Terra's body.

let's look in this way, we have xemnas, ansem (the heartless), and terra-xehanort. xemnas and ansem take the appearence base on terra-xehanort, so when they reunite... yup, master xehanort is definitely revived as terra-xehanort form.

i forgot something about terra-xehanort, he still have anmesia, during his ansem's apprentice time, so he probably still dont know his true power

Yeah. At least from my perspective, that's what he seems to be getting at, considering he mentioned Ansem SoD and Xemnas, two other forms of Xehanort who could, in the grand scheme of things, exist alongside Master Xehanort.

In other terms of what she's saying, she means kinda like how Xemnas, Ansem SoD, and Apprentice xehanort. It will be something kinda similar to that only there won't be any nobody or heartless versions of him.

i got it. maybe master xehanort will be taking in the form as a Dopplerganger, in which he have the personality of ansem (SoD) and Xemnas.

Pretty much this. Master Xehanort will return in Terra's body, since that's the most logical thing. And another form of Xehanort will appear, whether it's MF or someone else, who knows.

I made this flow chart to help myself understand things better. Unless something bizarre happened with Terra's heart it would make since that Ansem (SoD) will be the first form returning. However, I don't see anything bizarre happening with Terra's heart because it's supposed to be locked in with MX's inside of Ansem (SoD). Without getting both MF and Terra's heart out of the mix there is no way for MX to return yet.

Yes, Terra will most likely exist along with the return of MX. Also, Riku and Ansem SoD didn't exist together, Ansem SoD was possessing Riku's body.

i think its going to be his old state because the ending of BBS shows terra with Ven at the land of departure but in the secret movie of kh recoded Yen Sid says if Xehanrt was not alone i guess he means return alone maybe he's bringing follows or bringing the unversed back with him

What if it is Terra-Xehanort and an Unversed look alike of Xehanort. And there is a very tiny possibility of Vanitas returning, or else the void gear wouldn't be achievable in Birth By Sleep. Plus they can't have him return as 3 different people. That would be too confusing. So they'd need to create a new Xehanort if they wanted to put 2 Xehanorts in the game. Like I said before, the best possibilities are for there to be an Unversed Xehanort or the return of Vanitas as well. But i just thought of this one, Organization XIII could come back along with him and Roxas be replaced by Vanitas. There must be a million possibilities. Like Maleficent, she could help Xehanort. OR Braig/Xigbar could come back. most likely though it will just be Xehanort and Vanitas again.

tutti frutti. I believe that Master Xehanort would more or less come back as Terranort, unless he had some type of plan involving him to regain his own body, which I don't think he could be THAT accurate about making backups especially since he received amnesia after the events of BBS. My guess is that at some point and time MX may in fact come back in his original body, possibly younger, and continue his plans. Plus I don't think that was ever initially alone after becoming a Keyblade Master. But in the end, I wouldn't doubt there being more than another version of him appearing in the future, mostly since we already have a handful of versions of him already.
