it is kind of a retcon by having it be sora releasing namines heart

How is releasing Namine's heart a retcon

because in the original nomura said namines heart was released when kairi "died"

You guys do know that a retcon is changing a pre-established scenario, not adding a scene that explains it

we got an explanation before from nomura, he changed what he said in the interview

You take what he says and put a grain of salt into it, because chances are huge he's changing it

If someone who didn't know about the interview and played the game, then it's not a retcon to them. An interview is external fact to what the game has provided. You take what they say in the interview and just have to fiddle your thumbs until it's either been said in the game too or wait till there's another explanation.

Which is the latter in this case, the game put in a missing scene and showed what happened to Namine

It's annoying that Nomura uses things in his interviews as canon and then the other half is embellishment or lies, makes it hard to figure out what to trust and what not

Take what the games says as fact and everything else with a grain of salt
