So far my favorite parts of re:mind are the playable characters, explorable Scala, the Guardians of Light vs Xehanort and the Story adding more to the original plot making it feel more complete.

But then the Key to the realm of the light. The Key to the realm of darkness and perhaps the kingdom key all seem older than No Name

in kh3 its just "oh go beat em up, they're in the way"

Especially considering two of them dont belong to an individual

its also on the wall in his classroom

The Heartless and Nobodies interacting with each other is weird

But I guess since Xenmas and Ansem are both powerful forms of both they would obey

Nobodies definitely obey Xenmas

like okay in kh1, ansem uses the heartless to destroy worlds, that way he can summon kingdom hearts, in kh2 nobodies and heartless had a purpose of collecting hearts for the organization

They said they are servants to the org.

in kh bbs, unversed are used as a tool by vanitas to force character like aqua and terra to go explore the worlds, which leads ventus to do the same

Also the Heartless are basically controlled by people with enough strength in darkness

but like, they are never given an outright reason for using them against sora

Yeah but they dont need one

up until the end where they just kill em off using them

They are there to place trials for the seven lightd

Mostly for the 1000 heartless purpose

But also to be a trial for the seven lights

that only at the end, throughout the game they throw heartless at sora to kill, but were never given a reason why

Which would draw the heartless in regardless but people with strong ties to darkness cam give heartless commands

I imagine nobodies still listen to Roxas

They listened to Vexen

To the point of attacking another member of the orginisation with a higher status

like maybe if they said something like "xehanort plans to flood worlds with darkness in case the guardians do not fight, stop him sora"

like its not important and its simply a nitpick, but every other game gives a reason for the enemies to be there

But they are servants of the darkness

What more reason is needed

im saying the organization doesnt need to use them in this game up until the final fight, but they do anyway

They literally are attracted to people with strong hearts and follow people with strong attachment to darkness

because they go out of their way to have sora go to maleficent "are you the reason behind the heartless in this world" to which she replies "certainly not"

see that would be a decent explanation

Hades uses them in Olympus pretty much

hades isnt using them tho

YX in Toy Box because he is conducting experiments

He pretty much is though

he says "you can keep your heartless this time"

hes not doing this
