Then you have the Alpha Sora, doing everything Xehanort and Eraqus tried to do with barely even trying with Donald Faultenroy Duck and George Geef by his side:

Xehanort must’ve been feeling some type of way when he got his ass beat by Sora every which way followed by getting lectured in leadership and power.

Sora is the "friends are my power" trope played completely straight and to its most logical conclusion; pushed to its limits.

I think people don't talk enough about important Donald and Goofy are to Sora, his development, and his power; not just Riku and Kairi.

I honestly don’t get the Mickey slander. Like, are people mad that he isn’t perfect? I thought KH did a great job humanizing golden-child Mickey Mouse. He makes mistakes, he has emotions, he grows and learns from his mistakes, etc.

People act like Mickey just abandoned Aqua and forgot about her, but from my pov it seemed like Mickey struggled with tangible guilt from not being able to save Aqua or find her friends. That’s why he clung to Riku and was determined to protect him.

It wasn’t that he liked Riku and didn’t care for Aqua, he didn’t want to lose somebody again.

Plus, its made clear that there was no way for him to get back into the realm of darkness.

Mickey technically uses a dark keyblade but, he doesn't weird darkness.

He got in the Realm of Darkness by jumping head first into a consumed world and hoped for the best cause he's crazy lol

He had no way to get back

And it wasn’t until nearly KH3 when he learned how to make the key open the way to the RoD. By then, Riku was ready to go with him.
