If the series would be much better if they just left it at KH2?

I mean, everything was brought together again. Sora, Riku and Kairi were together, the King was back, Both the Heartless and Nobody of Ansem's apprentice, Xehanort, had been defeated and the worlds were once again at peace. From just watching the ending, where Sora says "Nothing's changed, has it?" to Riku when they're sitting on the Paupu tree, I felt like the series could just end there without any further questions.

To be honest, I think they should have left Sora's story there and moved onto another crazy-haired Keyblade hero.

I had thought about that but .... (someone should end this for me cuz my answer is not that good)

Do you mean by like they shouldn't have included any games after they finished KH2, because if you mean that, then I would have to disagree. I think that Birth By Sleep filled in many plot holes in the game.

First you say would it be better if the KH series ended after KH2? And now you say I want Sora's story to end and play as another Keyblade wielder.

So, you don't want the series to end, you want a new main character...

Yes, it did.

It also opened up many new observations for new games. KH2 subtly offered a complete ending without any more questions asked or answers given.

Yeah, I meant ending the Sora/Xehanort saga/series at KH2, but continuing on with another main character. By all means, I'd love for them to make heaps more KH games. I'd love it even more if Sora or someone like that cameo'd in another main character's storyline. I just don't know how they're gonna make a whole new saga from nothing.

Nomura will leave stuff for after the Xehanort saga (and maybe before, I'd love to see the unified world pre-dating the Keyblade War) in KH3 no doubt. In fact, he's probably already left stuff already, but we can't see it because it's not directly relevant to the current plot.

Well, i wouldn't sy that there was a "happy ending" in Kh2 ending. there are still many things to be done. like finishing off master xehanort since he has returned after his nobody and heartless counter-parts are defeated. And also saving Terra, aqua, Ventus, namine, Xion roxas, and Axel from their "hurting". they still didn't get their happy ending in their stories. and plus, they still need to find a way to defeat the heartless once and for all. Just because Sora, riku, kairi, Mickey, donald, and goofy got a happy ending doesn't mean that they can just sit back, relax, and worry about nothing. There are still many things for sora and the gang to do. BBS and Re:Coded clearly told us what is coming up next and what sora needs to do in order to set things right.

now would the fans want the series to end at KH2? no didn't think so

No that would leave to many question's like what did the letter say what will happen to terra aqua and ven etc

If Kingdom Hearts just ended there I would be mad.

I was thinking the same thing. But I realize now it's not a good idea. We have to a kh3. Things just can't end like that, you know.

You're not getting what I'm saying.

If the series had ended at KH2, There would be no Coded or BBS. Noone would know about Terra, Ventus, Aqua or the actual Master Xehanort. Xion was only shown as Sora's memories and linked to Chain of Memories, and her death led straight to KH2, nothing else. As far as anyone would have known, Axel was dead, Namine and Roxas had gone back to Sora and Kairi and Xehanort/Ansem SoD/Xemnas was gone forever. Also, as said in KH2, the heartless will remain as long as darkness remains in a single heart, and darkness lurks within every heart.

Coded and BBS just created another brand new half of the series which, although it connects to various parts of the other games, could have easily been overlooked.

As far as everyone would be concerned, everything would be back to normal. Sora, Riku and Kairi, together again under the Paupu tree on their small beach in Destiny Islands.

Well, yeah. Now they can't.

I'm not saying they should have. Definitely not.

I'm just wondering if it will prove to be a better ending compared to the one that we will see in KH3. It will be hard to make everything come together like that again.

There are no more ties to follow. They have filled in almost every plothole from BBS to Coded. They have to make something epic in 2 games, then roll everything in the series up in a big Katamari and label it KH3. xD

Sorry, theres so much writing, i cant read it all D:

But i think that you saying KH2 should have been the last game is kinda dumb (no offence D:)Because ever since KH2 (or FM2 i for get :l) came out, they had that serect ending.

So the secret ending had to have a game behide it (bbs) if they ended it at bbs

, Aqua would be wondering around forever (no saving) Terra would be waiting for ever, (no saving) and also, Ven would still be in Sora's heart.

Also, dont forget people also wanted background information on why the keyblade chose him.

Did spoiler tag because you have not watched the blank points :D

All those extra problems came up after kh2. If it ended right there, those would have never been made. Everything was settled except what happened with Pete and Maleficent.

If they ended it at kh2, then they wouldn't have had a secret movie.

I didnt really like that they made a new one, but I would be sad that the series ended. So, Im split half and half.

To tell the truth.. You're right. Everyone was happy. The heartless, Organization XIII Xehanort, everything has ended. You see, it was the perfect ending for the saga. No one would be suffering, since Ventus, Terra and Aqua didn't were mencioned until that, the same for Xion. Roxas and Naminé have joined with Sora and everything would be peaceful. You're totally right.

I feel like it would have left a lot of grief with it. There wouldn't be the amount of Axel/Lea that we have now and I know I would have liked to see more with Roxas, plus you have the whole taking-over-the-World-that-Never-Was thing from Maleficent.
