Each character had like six weapons entirely I think

Which at first kind of sounds like not a lot but when you consider they each give you a new skill I think it works out pretty well

 

Red XIII weapon will be his collar, not hairpins like before, he got 2 materias in it

 

I am fine with 6 weapons each

I remember meeting they had red XIII equipment data in there and I want to go over and compare it all

each weapon having their own "skill tree" also helps

You build them as you want and also get the skills from them if you want to use it on another weapon

You could use the base weapons the entire game I'm pretty sure if you wanted

I'm using buster sword in hard mode

I used the Buster Sword throughout the whole game except when getting the skills on the other weapons

but only the 6th weapon has the "avoid death" passive it's a bit annoying

especially for Barrett

It was weird seeing him shoot bullets out of his close range weapons

You could use his long-range abilities with the close-range weapons yeah but it really stands out in cutscenes

Ahh, I didn't think about using the long range abilties

I didn't like using the close combat weapons on Barret

And close range of abilities with long range weapons as well

Didn't fit him as well as I hoped for it to be
