I don't really believe in the alternate timeline thing. Although I do think we could be playing as Zack in the beginning, similar to how Roxas was in KH2. They laid out Zack in FF7R but never said who he was, all everyone sees is that he's a SOLDIER guy using the Buster Sword who knows Cloud and Aerith. Which is why I think the next game will start with playing as Zack to show who he is and what he means to both of those characters.

I think so, cloud and Barrets limit breaks both did 600+ damage because he was turned away from both at the time
