there are no turns

It's a neat mix of action and ATB turn-based system

Like, normal parrying only works with physicals but I think counterstance works with other ranged attacks too. Not all of them but some more

also who else gets ff13 vibes with the atb meter?

I remember the slow skill mentioned then you can slow down enemy ATB or something

I never played FF13 so can't say, but I have seen people comparing them

A lot of this game reminds me of XIII especially the music

Ohyea, Silent skill also makes enemies not use abilities anymore

Although I think it was spell abilities, not normal ones

tactical action actually makes the most sense

as describing its style

I do want to do a classic run sometime I remember playing that with the demi made it feel more like a turn-based game

the stagger meter, the switching modes kind of reminds me a the paradigm shifts in ff13, but faster

The weapon abilities work similarly to the Sphear Grid from FFX

7R definitley feels like a natural progression of ff game elements in recent years

Only thing I wish it had was proper AI functions you could tinker with

It feels like a better realize the version of episode duscae
