Glad to see you enjoyed it! Who did you get in chapter 14 when going outside the house at night with Cloud?

Personally, I'm very even on it. To me, it depends on what future games will do. Right now I'm not especially hopeful or worried, just cautious

I think I felt the same way after KH DDD

I mean your current feeling

I felt it after DDD

I know next to nothing about the original so I have no idea what the problems are other than what I’ve stated before but otti explained that it’ll continue the FF7 narrative, so. ?‍♀️ idk

but FFVII R was just too good for me that I ignored the problems

I think it's cuz I don't have that attachment to FF7 like a lot of people where the lack of immersion made its faults stand out for me

like one of my big complaints is how slow you move in this game a lot of the time, like the narrow spaces and whatnot. Would've much rather had loading screens and the like

crane puzzle in chapter 9 moved absurdly slow for no real reason. Stuff that like that really hindered the experience for me

It was kinda corridor-ish at times tbh. But I think the more open world parts are going to be in part2?

I think a lot of KH players might have went in with the mindset of it going to feel like KH

You can't grind at the end. They're either so I wonder if the final boss is scaled

where u are literal superhero that can go anywhere and everywhere

I wasn't really expecting it to be like KH at all

I just wasn't expecting navigation to feel as slow as it ended up being

They really need to add aerial recovery in this game though

should they make it more action-y though?

i honestly think the combat is pretty great

i have some slight issues, but it's by far I think the best aspect of this game

i feel like the idea of being RPG-er than action is the balance they wanted

yeah

after doing the optional content where you really have to utilize the tools as well as hard mode

i respected the combat design a lot more

It can use some tweaking but this is my favorite Final Fantasy combat system that is not 14

I enjoyed it better than 15, and 15’s been my fave

the combat I mean

i'm much more of an action gamer than turn based as well so this is a pretty welcoming hybrid

it’s definitely a lot more fun to go through than the original ?

I wouldn't say it's more fun but it's got its charm

There are two different to compare

i'll be honest. I found myself learning the combat in this game far faster than I ever did in the original. Idk, the original ff7 feels almost unplayable to me

so 7r feels like a blessing in comparison

well

oof wrong chat
