off topic-ish, but if we compare this to the end of Xenoblade 2, if you payed it woudl u say u felt less or more satisfied?

i mean sephiroth's history and such

cuz tons of people know what he looks like, but a lot don't really know his story

like KH fans coming into this aren't really going to learn more about him in this for the most part

well i mean theres a gen of kids that doesnt know him by name or story the 2000s kids dont

i do think xeno 2 ending was a cop out having both girls back but the unkown part of it is neat

Cuz this game really feels like its a gate way for people interested to go and look at the other pieces of the compilation

Crisis Core, FFVII OG, and advent children

it more so comes down to how you see Sephy in this remake alone
Do you mind the fact that he exists and comes in and out only to be the final boss? or do you want it more black and white where you explicitly know the big bad up front

I just have no idea what's going on with him so it's hard for me to feel attachment to him as a villain

Kitase did mention he felt like he couldnt do sephiroth like he did in the OG

which makes sense when Sephiroth is one of the most notable villains in the whole series

and extends outside of FF as well

literally if they did it as they did originally he'd have shown up less haha

Cuz theres even stuff from like these short stories that Nojima wrote

i mean ypu still have to make the story proepr rather then just riding on his popularity from the og

I'm really glad they gave sephiroth a lot of presence
