Music can draw out memory

Even in Alzheimer’s patients. It can make them remember a certain time or feeling.

i claim it's cause we are going through Kairi's memories as KH3RM told us
as she sleeps, we go through her memories to gain some possible information they can

as for why music, 1. gameplay
2. music is a very impactful medium which can associate a lot of memories for people

think about it, how many soundtracks can you think in your head that you have an attachment too

and why those songs?

MoM allows us to visit Kairi's memories via music because music is able to carry a variety of emotions within it

including "hurt" that kh loves to use

Well that’s a good point about music

Note: this isn't a defense of MoM, but merely observations and thoughts ive had throughout the day

My only issue with it as a concept is that it’s not like this music is heard by the characters

But it’s a cool idea on paper

so yeah, over the day and rewatching the trailer, things are starting to click for me that this is Kairi's CoM

which begs to wonder where her first journey is

and i would hope that we can see that post MoM

since it appears that Kairi herself is aware that she needs to get stronger in order to protect sora

Yeah I might have an issue with this being the first new console game

I just don’t like that it NEEDS to involve Sora

But for what it’s worth I’m just gonna assume that this is to set up what will be an even better Kairi game

Like why can’t she have her back story and development without the need of it being because of Sora.

Like how Sora didn’t go back for his friends in KH3 after dying

He went back because of Kairi

everything connects back to him in some way
