Just hypothetically if you would I would wait until August 11th since that's when the Around Reborn rework is coming when they remove a lot of filler at least that's what they said they're doing

They did that's what the game is now but A Realm Reborn has a lot of filler to the point where it turns people away

They've been aware of it and they said they want to address it one day which they have been recently it was supposed to release on June 11th but due to covid-19. Delayed to August

There's Quest where it's like the guy will accidentally said you to the wrong place 10 times before sending you to the right place stuff like that imagine is getting changed

having gone through it myself recently, it's not that bad but it could be cut down a lot

also, another major turnoff is having the game itself be a purchase as well as a subscription

i still find that kinda stupid

you have access to everything except the latest expansion I think and you have to buy that but if you don't then you just need sub

i just think it should just be either a subscription, or the game bought and that's it

If they were able to maintain the same amount of quality while making the game free to play and adding in microtransactions then maybe but I wouldn't want microtransactions at any of that free-to-play stuff you find in typical free-to-play MMOs

WoW sub is easy to bypass. Just be good at the game, carry players for gold through raids and dungeons -> pay your subscription with ingame gold 4Head

My friend got a friend in his Gil to pay for his sub because they just had an excess amount of gold

paying for the game as well as a subscription is a primary reason i see people not get 14 actually, despite possibly enjoying the free trial

The way I see it is the initial purchase covers the labour to make it. The sub covers the costs of keeping it running.

MMO's aren't cheap to keep up.

sub covers content patches and servers. expansion covers the costs of making an expansion

Also the expansions go on stupid sales a lot.

I mean when you a new expansion comes out you're getting a 432 40 hour new game

That's just with the story alone if you're just doing that

i wanted to do all of 14's story in one sub because i didn't want to pay for another one, which for an MMO is the wrong mentality to have
