it's really bad. So bad actually that the discourse ruined my excitement for d4

people really hate the fact that diablo 4 has raids

but tbf some of the other criticism is valid

diablo 1-3 never went so hard in terms of MMORPG features

the game feels a lot like a mix of PoE and Lost Ark with diablo skin

which is honestly not that bad

my biggest criticism so far regarding d4 are the skill trees. "increases your stat for x%" feels so outdated for 2023

this shit looks so bad in comparison to FFXVI. Even SE understands now that stat increase talents aren't fun. The skill trees in XVI are all unique skills and if you upgrade them they even change the animation

I hope Rebirth will follow the same route

I can't just use the exact same combo for a 30 hour game

I feel like in terms of combo modifiers SE wants to keep it more simple. The majority of their playerbase still consists of people who think that 7R and KH gameplay are the same and who complained so much during launch that hellhouse is an unfair fight even though its not

hellhouse reactions were absolutely firetrucking ridiculous for a playerbase who are so proud of the older games being "strategic"
